The Customer

Pro-Idee has been an established partner for unusual and innovative products outside the mainstream for 30 years. Pro-Idee places particular emphasis on customer satisfaction and a high-quality product range. The company presents its new product ideas in catalogues, online and in several shops. The range extends from original to exclusive: fashion for him and her, lifestyle articles, wines, design highlights, kitchen accessories and high-tech products through to exclusive art objects.

The medium-sized, family-run business employs around 600 people and also sells its products outside Germany in selected EU countries such as the UK, France, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

The Starting Position

In order to offer its customers a unique customer experience that is customised to their high standards, Pro-Idee was faced with the challenge of making its marketing processes more efficient and, above all, more automated. The email and lettershop touchpoints were regularly used, but the lack of a holistic view of the customer and no marketing automation meant that this was only possible with a great deal of manual effort.

As there was no central, cleansed customer data platform (CDP) as a basis, Pro-Idee was not able to intelligently merge customer data and automatically analyse and reuse it for subsequent communication measures. This meant that a 360° customer view could not be realised and valuable sales potential remained untapped for a long time.

The aim was therefore to create the basis for an automated and data-based customer approach so that the company's credo would be convincingly reflected at every point of the customer journey.

The Project Performance

To enable a closed loop in customer communication, a centralised and cleansed Customer Data Platform (CDP) was first implemented, which is fed from all existing data sources (SAP, online shop, email, onsite tracking, JIRA, etc.). This created the basis for the introduction of the marketing automation software DYMATRIX Marketing Automation, which will be used to control communication measures centrally across all channels from now on.

In addition to the introduction of DYMATRIX Marketing Automation, various analytical optimisation models were also established, which are used to individualise the customer approach along the customer journey.

Thanks to the particularly efficient and rapid introduction of the Customer Data Platform and the marketing automation software DYMATRIX Marketing Automation, Pro-Idee was able to run automated campaigns and manage its customer communication in a resource-saving, intelligent and, above all, data-driven manner within just a few months of the project starting. Valuable insights about customers and prospects can now be gained across all channels and used for personalised campaigns.

In addition, the use of analytical models in combination with DYMATRIX Marketing Automation now also enables the realisation of complex, customer-specific campaign routes that take the customer experience to a new level. Pro-Idee customers no longer only benefit from the special product range, but also from a holistic and personalised customer journey that makes the exclusive Pro-Idee brand experience tangible at all touchpoints.
